Kenya is in East Africa, bordered by the Indian Ocean to the southeast, Somalia to the east, Ethiopia to the north, South Sudan to the northwest, Uganda to the west, and Tanzania to the south. Host Ministry

The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Irrigation is a key Government department which is responsible for the formulation, implementation, and monitoring of policies and programs aimed at promoting agricultural development and ensuring food security in the country. The ministry’s mandate encompasses a broad range of activities, including crop production, livestock development, fisheries, and agribusiness.

Kenya is one of the countries in the region that is affected by Tree Locusts. Known breeding area for Tree Locust in Kenya  is in Turkana County.
