The Director of IRLCO-CSA is the cornerstone of our leadership team, guiding the organization with a clear vision and strategic direction. Appointed by the Governing Council of Ministers, the Director is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the organization’s operations, from daily management to long-term planning. With a deep understanding of the challenges posed by migratory pests, the Director works tirelessly to ensure that our strategies are both innovative and effective.
Our Field Operations Team is composed of highly skilled professionals who are on the ground, directly tackling locust outbreaks and other pest threats. Stationed at our strategic bases in Mozambique, Malawi, Tanzania, and Zambia, these experts are equipped with the latest technologies and methodologies to monitor, survey, and control pest populations. Their work is critical in ensuring that we can respond swiftly to emerging threats and protect the crops and livelihoods of our member states.
The Research and Development (R&D) Team at IRLCO-CSA is at the forefront of scientific innovation in pest control. This team conducts cutting-edge research on locust behavior, breeding patterns, and environmental impact, providing the data and insights needed to develop new and improved control methods.
